Goal
The Communication, Media, and International Relations Unit at the Jordan Center for Disease Control (JCDC) plays a vital role in promoting the Center's vision and mission through effective communication with the media and the general public. Based on the JCDC's system, the unit is responsible for managing media affairs by publishing and monitoring media coverage of everything related to the Center's work, both locally, regionally, and internationally. The goal of the unit is to ensure that the JCDC's messages, news, and activities are accurately and effectively communicated to the media and the general public
Tasks and Duties
Organizing meetings, seminars, and conferences related to the JCDC's work
Improving communication with "audio-visual and electronic" media to ensure that the public is aware of the Center's messages, news, and activities" "
Updating the JCDC's website content in collaboration with other directorates and units
Promoting collaboration with national, regional, and international bodies related to the JCDC's work
Managing the JCDC's social media platforms to ensure proper information flow and to develop public relations with external audiences by building a positive reputation for the Center based on scientific and documented facts and information
Providing media coverage of all JCDC activities
Preparing a daily media report electronically
reating and implementing strategic communication plans
Monitoring local and international media for news related to the JCDC
Writing and editing news for the JCDC and publishing it in various media outlets
