Financial Affairs Unit
Overview
The Financial Affairs Unit is one of the administrative organizational units within the organizational structure of the Jordan Center for Disease Control (JCDC), which emerge through the Center’s administrative organization system No. (14) for the year 2022.

Goals and Objectives
The unit aims to carry out the financing of all procurement and contracting operations to provide the center's needs for supplies and advisory services, through the proper use of the funds allocated in the center's budget.
Tasks and Duties
The unit is concerned of supervising the organization, implementation and audit of financial spending of the JCDC budget in accordance with the applicable financial and administrative legislation, and the preparation of the financial analysis of the financial status of the center and under the supervision of the Secretary-General, in implementation of the strategy of the center and the action plan arising from it. Therefore, the unit undertakes the following tasks:
Organizing and checking lists of accounts, claims, bids, wages, bonuses, and any other documents related to spending, and keeping them in the records prepared for that
Determine the training needs of the unit's staff.
Regulating the receipt of financial allocations received by means of financial transfers and according to the center's revenues.
Opening records, organizing the fundamental records of all transactions, and carrying out approved accounting procedures in accordance with applicable legislation.
Preparing financial reports, carrying out a financial analysis of the center's status, and preparing statistics related to the unit's work, as requested.
Organizing and preparing the center's annual budget and final accounts, and organizing and distributing the center's monthly financial data.
Taking an inventory of the permanent advances and assets of the Center, and settling the dues of employees and persons related to the Center.
Preserving, archiving and tabulating the unit's information and submitting it in periodic reports.
Preparing responses to the financial clarifications received from the relevant external parties
Coordinating with the Internal Control Unit at the Center in implementing its monitoring of the financial affairs within the scope of the unit's work.
Participate in setting the center's strategic plan, implementation plan and performance indicators.
Any other tasks assigned to it within the unit's scope.
