Mapping of documents related to disease surveillance, epidemics, communicable diseases, and environmental threats related to health within the One Health approach

Stemming from its mandates as a national body that provides policy advice based on evidence, JCDC intends to assess the current National communicable diseases surveillance in Jordan, by conducting a national “Mapping and Reviewing the Existing Disease Surveillance: Policies, Strategies, Guidelines, and SOPs related to Epidemics, Communicable, and Zoonotic Diseases, within One Health in addition to Antimicrobial Resistance, and health-related environmental threats.”

The comprehensive assessment aims to provide public health decision-makers with evidence-based insights to shape effective policies and strategies for the prevention and control of communicable diseases through timely detection, reporting, screening, and monitoring of such diseases, as well as health–related environmental health threats through proper reporting and monitoring.
